EMC

Electrical Machines and Machinery must comply with the Machinery Directive (MD). Electrical Safety is a subset of MD requirements.
Medical
Medical Equipment must comply with the Medical Devices Directive (MDD). IVD equipment must comply with the In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices Directive and Implants must comply with the Active Implantable Medical Devices Directive.
Energy Efficiency
Various consumer electronics products must comply with the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Directive, such as Air Conditioners, Heaters, Dishwashers and Lighting Equipment.
Other CE Directives
Many other directives are in place such as the Recreational Craft Directive, Equipment for explosive atmospheres (ATEX) Directive and Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Directive.
